This experientially based training includes both theoretical and practical components.

You will learn about: Group Formation, Group Dynamics; and Group Leadership & Facilitation.

This is part of the training for Christchurch trainees and the workshop is open to others.

The training is suitable for: established group facilitators; new and prospective group workers; and, those who would like to better understand or participate in groups.

Application of the training may be in formal groups, in clinical or community settings, the management of work teams or in the informal groups of everyday life.

Trainer: Sara Crane, MNZAP, Registered Psychotherapist, is a psychotherapy and psychodrama trainer, educator and practitioner with almost 30 years’ experience leading groups in clinical and community settings. She has a background in education, and is qualified in the use of sociometry and Action Methods in therapeutic and non-therapeutic group work. Sara has particular expertise in working with children and families and the creative application of group work in building family and community well being. Sara is based in Otautahi / Christchurch, and regularly works in Otepoti / Dunedin as a trainer.
